Geraldine

By Elizabeth Lilly

Geraldine is the new kid at school. She’d love to blend into the crowd, but her neck soars above the rest of the class. Being the only giraffe makes it difficult to feel like the other kids until she makes friends with another kid who stands out.

Geraldine is the sweet story of how our differences make us special. Geraldine finds that the things which she thinks makes her odd actually make her interesting to others.

This is a tender story for those who feel different or left out. It gives us the opportunity to speak to the heart of our kids and grandkids about their value and significance in the world.

As the tallest kid in elementary school, I was a Geraldine—good thing I wasn’t a giraffe!
