A Sand County ALMANAC and Sketches Here and There by Aldo Leopold
Aldo Leopold sketches and journals about wildlife and their behavior with wit as well as understanding. He gives us a glimpse of his observations in the wilderness of Wisconsin, Arizona, Iowa, Oregon, and elsewhere. His love for the creatures inhabiting the outdoors is contagious. This is a delightful read for middle school and above.
Leopold addresses philosophical issues which address wildlife conservation in the final section of the book. His perspective is not written from a Christian worldview per se, but strongly exhorts us to be wise stewards.
